Opposites

Happy Tuesday! It's starting to feel like summer here at Casa Nostra! Class one made the most of the lovely weather and spent as much time around the farm as they could, feeding the animals and tending to our vegetable garden, giving them all a big drink and the dig for potatoes!! In the kitchen they made delicious chocolate chip muffins and worked on numbers while they cooked! Class two are now preparing for their end of year show! They are learning a fun song and dance about jungle animals so they starting making their costumes for the big night and we starting to practise the song!! They are doing so well already!! They made some lovely herb bread in the kitchen and foraged in the garden for the potatoes hidden under the soil!

Class 3, the older children were focusing on the theme of opposites. They begun the class with a matching game, for words such as soft & hard, thick & thin; Day & night. It was a really great test of their vocabulary, and they proved how much they are growing in English! As a special treat this week, the children helped to make popcorn. The had to fight hard to resist lifting the lid, but enjoyed all of the sounds of the corn;To top it off we made a sauce of peach and cinnamon! We all had a lovely time sitting in the shade of a tree, answering questions of opposites to earn their tasty snack!
