Collecting melons

Today we started the morning off, by coloring in some splendid pirate swords and funky pirate puppets, as well as making some amazing hoop earrings. We totally rocked the pirate look! Then we took a trip down to the vegetable garden and picked some green peppers and some melons for lunch and had a good bounce on the trampoline. We couldn´t believe how high Jaime bounced! After that we fuelled up the tractors and zoomed around Casa Nostra, before having a quick pitstop to eat some refreshing handpicked watermelon and drink gorgeous homemade lemonade. Lunch time was a little bit sad, as we had to say goodbye to Karen and Seren - we will really miss them. This afternoon, we thoroughly enjoyed some of Cat’s favourite English story books like: “We’re Going On a Bear Hunt” and “Aaargh Spider!”, whilst some of the children relaxed in the hammocks. So as not to leave the donkeys out, some of the children went down to visit Perla and Valentin and gave them some serious pampering - they were in their element! One of the highlights of the day was making some delicious English Chocolate Brownies that were devoured in a flash! As we type this, we maybe have some exciting news regarding the chicks in the incubator - one of the eggs has cracked and is moving a little bit. Wouldn´t it be great if they were hatched by tomorrow?
