International Rural School is a private British school in Llinars del Vallès, in the forest, next to center of the village.

We teach Early Years Foundation Stage, Primary and Secondary and  A-Levels the equivalent to "Bachillerato-Selectividad".

The school promotes the acquisition of skills and competencies in subjects across the English National Curriculum.

Exploring the curriculum through Music is one of our main beliefs. Music is very interdisciplinary and the contents of the different areas of the curriculum can be worked through musical interpretation, the practice of the instruments, the history of music and the musical language. Music develops the two cerebral hemispheres and brings us culture and history from a creative and innovative perspective, acquiring knowledge and skills that endure over time.

Our school is looking for a personalized education, a teacher for every 12 students, limiting the total number of schoolchildren to 100. It is a British school for boys and girls to acquire native English and international accreditations and qualifications.

The learning process is promoted in different educational environments; in the classroom, in the open air and in weekly outings in the neighbourhood. Rural School is a place where children can explore, discover, observe, research, create, act and build their learning through direct contact with the natural, social and cultural world.

The idea of ​​the center of the International Rural School is based on pedagogues such as Decroly,  Dewey, Freinet, innovative educational theorists of the early 20th century.
