Easter Week

This week the older children gathered more information about the end of year trip to Vall de Nuria for the parents. Well done for their efforts in Friday's presentation. We took advantage of the beginning of Spring by moving several of our Maths lessons outside in the garden, where we consolidated our knowledge of area and perimeter in Geometry. In PE, we used the sports centre to great effect by playing a fast paced game involving flipping cones over on the court. We also strengthened our upper bodies by travelling on our hands and feet before attempting to toss paper balls into hoops. Finally, let me congratulate all the children for supporting each other in our immensely enjoyable E

History museum

This week in Maths, the children have been consolidating their knowledge of 3D shapes and their properties. They also begun looking at division in the form of ‘sharing’. The children are becoming much more capable of reading our phase 4 tricky words and we h

We learnt about what happens to waste in relation to the ocean and why i

Maritime museum

This week, the older children have been concentrating mainly on English, Maths and Science in class. During the week, we braved the cold weather to make snowmen on the playground. We all had lots of fun on our trip to the Maritime Museum earlier in the week. This included a virtual underwater tour where we were able to demonstrate all our knowledge of sea turtles, octopi and jelly fish! This week in our Phonics lessons, the Year 1 and 2s have been learning how to write CCVC and CVCC words (C= consonant and V= vowel). We have been working really hard at hearing all of the sounds in the words. In English, we have been learning about rhyming words. Next week, we will begin to write so
